Is my vehicle a good candidate for a conversion?

We convert mostly air cooled Volkswagen / Porsche products and vintage trucks. We have also EV converted vintage MGs and Datsun’s. Any Vehicle can be converted but the cost can really vary. We prefer to avoid computer controlled vehicles after the 1970s to keep costs in line. We also usually have rust free VW Bugs on hand available for conversion and a customers added touch for interior and details.

What is the price range?

That is a very difficult question. Price depends on how nice the car brought to us is, power level and range desired. A typical nicely restored bug (owner provided) with 100KW (173 ft/lb torque 120 HP) motor and a 100-120 mile range battery pack current seems to land in the $50-58K range. This includes Brake upgrade. Any other upgrades desired would add to the conversion price. Vintage trucks etc you should enquire. Too many variables with power levels, battery pack size, battery placement, electric steering, electric brakes etc.

How long will it take to convert my vehicle?

Another difficult question. We usually need your vehicle for 3-4 months to convert. There are however times when certain parts develop a lead time that is out of our control. We also schedule work in advance so we recommend that you email us for a potential start time on a project.

What maintenance is required on my vehicle?

Maintenance is greatly reduced. We do however recommend having us annually inspect the vehicle if possible. there is still brake fluid and transmission fluid (on some conversions) that require occasional attention. No regular oil changes, coolant flushes or spark plugs to worry about though.
